Our June 25 Flounder Tournament was another great day!
Dave and Carol Ferguson once again ran the tournament and Frank’s Boats again hosted the weigh-in, awards and refreshments.
Here Dave oversees the food line, with delicious beans, bratwurst and hot dogs.

These beautiful trophies wait to be awarded.
First place in the Children’s Division went to Dominick Krajicek, who caught a 2.1 pounder.
Second place went to Jack Geib with a 1.7 pound catch.

In the Junior Division, first place went to Matt Schad, who caught a 3.3 pound flounder.

For the Women’s Division, first place went to Melissa Tatonia with a 3.9 pound catch

Second place went to Liz Deneka with a 2.2 pound catch.

In the Men’s Division, first place went to Rob Deaver (2.9 pounds).

Second place went to Jason Daunoras (2.8 pounds), who, in a “photo finish”, was also the overall winner in the tournament for the Florrie Andress Memorial Trophy, for the total weight of three fish at 7.9 lbs!

Third place went to Joe Krajicek (2.5 pounds).

In the Senior Division, first place went to Grady Brown (not shown), 4.4 pounds and second place to Frank Jankowski (2.1 pounds).

Winning the Special Award for the biggest fish caught by an SFEC member, a hand-painted flounder picture, painted and donated by by Carol Ferguson, was Grady Brown, who could not be present for the awards.
