October 8th Meeting: Bud Lyon opened the meeting with the flag salute. Members were reminded that Election for the Board of Trustees is in December and anyone wishing to serve should contact Dick Shetler at 609-263-3346. Bud then turned the meeting over to our guest speaker Ben Wurst of Conserve Wildlife NJ, who gave an interesting and captivating presentation on the Osprey. At the conclusion of the program, a donation in the amount of $200.00 was presented to Ben for the Conserve Wildlife Foundation of New Jersey.
Ben’s talk was the culmination of the Club’s Environmental Day. Earlier Carol Ferguson led a large group of members & town residents in planting 2500 dune grass seedlings on the beach. A good day for the Club.
