Nightmare in Strathmere was held on Saturday, August 23!
It was a beautiful evening for our annual boat parade.
The day started with selling the famous “Nightmare in Strathmere T-shirts” in front of Twisties.
They were very popular and sold out!
.
There were houses decorated both on and off the bay.
This was “RalphieGate”
.
“Born In the USA”
If you have more house pictures, please send them to sfec@comcast.net so we can post them here.
.
We still only have a few dock pictures, so please send them in!
.
“Shortie’s Fluke Shack”
.
“Thanks, SFEC!”
.
And then, the Boat Parade!
.
The SFEC chose Jessica and Ken Weaver as our
2014 Grand Marshals.
Unfortunately, we misplaced the sign we usually put on the Grand Marshal boat, and in the scramble to replace it, we inadvertently left Jessica’s name off the banner.
We apologize to the Weavers, and especially to Jessica.
.
Counting the Grand Marshal boat, we had fourteen boats in the parade – a great turnout!
.
The “Otterbusters” are out to catch the one that’s been stealing minnows up and down the bay.
There’s the little devil!
.
Hoping to “Get Lucky”.
.
The “Strathmere Fishing Charter” You Catch; We Clean!
.
The Sewer Authority says, “Un Cap Ur Poti!”
.
“Marsh Madness”
.
Bailing out the “Boat That Won’t Float”.
.
Two pictures for the winning (Twisties) boat.
The Twisted Nightmare House Raising Company
Love those Amish unions!
.
The “Tour du Strathmere”
.
Dorothy says, “There’s No Place Like Strathmere”.
.
Here comes the “Strathmere Recycling Club”.
.
The “National Lampoon Strathmere Vacation”.
.
“Squatch Hunter”
.
“Sharknado2”
.
Great job with all the boats!
