The 2011 Last Cast Tournament was held on November 25 and 26, the two days after Thanksgiving. The weather was beautiful and the fishing was “okay”…
The tournament was very successful, with 55 registered entrants. The awards dinner was well-attended and had great food, with delicious chili provided by Mike McNally, and bratwurst, cheeseburgers and hot dogs grilled outside.
This is the sixth year of the tournament, and with this year’s winner fishing from a boat, first place has been taken three times by beach fishermen and three times by boat fishermen!

Tournament Chair Rob Coffey presents the first place award to Bob Gooch, for his catch of a 30.6 pound striper. Bob also received this painting of a striper done by Carol Ferguson.

Second place went to Gary Riordan for his catch – a 17.6 pound striper.

And third place went to Gary Seagraves, who caught a 13.8 pound bluefish.

Honorable mentions went to Jack Geib for a 10.2 pound bluefish and Casey Coffey for her 10.0 pound bluefish.
