The Striper Board:
The Board is still up at Whale Creek, but don’t delay in entering your catch. If you are not in town this writer will enter it for you, just call or send (omrod105@comcast.net PH:263 2506) the date, length and where (beach or boat) you caught the fish. The board will come down just before Christmas.
Dues are Due!
Saving the hard stuff until last. The Board voted to raise the annual dues to $35 per member. The vote was preceded with lots of discussion, and it was not an easy decision. However the facts are in, this is the first raise in over 25 years and our expenses continue to increase. We must increase the dues to ensure the long term interests of the Club. Plus we still offer the best deal on the island, for this small fee you have a chance to meet with fishing and environmental enthusiasts, participate in any number of tournaments, help protect the environment, not to mention the numerous social benefits. Make it easy on our new Treasurer, pay your dues early!
