Environmental Day: On July 17th the SFEC teamed up with the Schiavo Library to sponsor a program called “Traveling Turtles”, this program was presented by the Wetlands Institute. During the program the Wetlands Institute members explained their conservation programs for the diamondback terrapins. After the presentation, children learned how to properly hold a turtle and were able to release the turtles into the bay. The SFEC would like to thank the Schiavo Library, the Wetlands Institute, the Strathmere Fire Company, those who attended and especially those who made a donation to help our club do this again next year!!
