The Winter Social was held 2/20 at the Deauville Inn, where members enjoyed a great evening. The Florida Southern Social was held at the same time at the Finz restaurant in Stuart. This is the second year this southern get-together has been held, thanks to Mike Mazzeo, who made all the arrangements. About 20 people attended in Florida. Here, President Randy Roash presents Strathmere Fire Chief Bruce Riordan a $1,000.00 check from the SFEC. 
Randy also presented awards for their service to the club to former Executive Board members who stepped down at the end of 2009. Here Randy presents a plaque to Dick Shetler for the outstanding job he did as Treasurer for many years. 
Also receiving awards were Dick Omrod for the many jobs he did: PR Officer, Corresponding Secretary, osprey platforms, and many more. Robin Henry received an award for her great work as Corresponding Secretary. . Randy then presented awards to the winners of the 2009 Striper Tournament. The overall winner was Bud Lyon:
