On July 10, 2010, the SFEC held the annual Jane Shetler Fishing Tournament, and that evening we had the Summer Social at the Firehouse. There were rainshowers in the middle of the day, and not many "keepers" were caught, but it was nevertheless a great day. Here the crowd congregates before the festivities begin. 
Tournament tee shirts sold at a brisk pace. 
Our chefs did their usual marvelous job ("low and slow")... 
Both donations and proceeds from jewelry sales went to benefit a non-profit group known as H.O.P.E., which consists of professional grief counselors who assist family members of all ages cope with the loss of a loved one as they evolve through the stages of the grieving process.

All tables were full and the food was great! 
The buffet line moved right along... 
Jan Hollinger brought in the only keeper of the day (a 2.1 pound flounder), so she was the overall prize winner! 
Super-organizer Debbe spoke to the crowd... 
And then Dick took the mike to thank everyone...
